Holdings & Wallets

MTX lets you manage all wallets for a given chain from one place — view balances, send/receive, inspect assets, burn tokens, create/delete wallets, or export a wallet key when needed.

Short flow: open Holdings → pick a chain → choose a wallet (or open Wallet Manager) → take action (Send / Receive / Assets / Burn / Edit / Export).

Quick overview

From Holdings you can view every wallet tied to the selected network. Tap the wallet card to open its quick actions (Add Funds, Send, Assets). Tap the wallet+ icon (or Wallet Manager on settings) to create, rename, delete wallets, or export a key.

Actions available

  • Send / Receive — standard transfers for the selected wallet.

  • Assets — see token list and balances for that wallet.

  • Burn — token burn actions where supported.

  • Create wallet — add a new wallet on the current chain.

  • Rename / Remove — edit wallet label or delete an empty/test wallet.

  • Export key — export wallet key (sensitive action; requires confirmation/PIN).

Tips & best practices

  • Chain scope: Wallets are listed per-chain — switch chain first to see wallets for another network.

  • Default auto-selection: New users usually see a single wallet auto-selected; advanced users can create many named wallets (Trading, Savings, NFT, etc.).

  • Export with care: Exporting a key is sensitive — do it only in a secure environment and follow the export flow’s prompts.

  • Deleting wallets: Only remove wallets you control and don’t need; ensure balance is zero before deletion.

  • Organization: Use clear labels (e.g., “Trading”, “Savings”, “Airdrops”) so you don’t mix purposes across wallets.

  • PIN & confirmations: Critical actions (export, remove, withdrawal) will prompt for confirmation — follow the on-screen steps.

Common pitfalls

  • “My wallet not showing for a chain” → check you’ve selected the correct chain in Holdings.

  • “I can’t delete a wallet” → move any remaining balance out first.

  • “Export failed / blocked” → check device security and follow PIN/verification prompts.
